zigmaty is built around a privacy-first approach to GPS speed tracking. Speed, distance, elapsed time, GPS accuracy, and trip summaries are calculated on your device in the browser.

Location Permission

Your browser asks for location permission only when you start speed tracking. zigmaty uses GPS readings to calculate live speed and trip stats during the active session.

Location Data

zigmaty does not upload your GPS coordinates or trip route to a zigmaty server. Active trip data stays in the browser while you use the speedometer.

Trip History

When trip history is used, zigmaty stores summary details on your device, such as speed, distance, elapsed time, mode, and selected unit. You can clear saved trips from the app.

Local Preferences

zigmaty stores preferences such as selected unit, theme, mode, and speed alert settings in your browser so the app feels consistent when you return.

Accounts and Payments

zigmaty does not require an account, login, subscription, or payment information to use the speedometer.

Analytics

zigmaty uses Google Analytics to understand basic site usage, such as page views, referring pages, browser type, device type, approximate location derived from network information, and general engagement with the site.

Google Analytics does not give zigmaty your precise GPS coordinates. The GPS readings used for speed, distance, and trip stats are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to a zigmaty server.

Google may use cookies or similar browser technologies to provide analytics measurement. You can limit or block analytics through your browser privacy settings, ad/privacy controls, or Google Analytics opt-out tools.

Advertising

zigmaty does not show ads and does not require an advertising profile to use the speedometer.

Security

Use zigmaty over HTTPS so your browser can protect location permission requests and load the speedometer securely.
