How to Use Your Phone as a Speedometer
Your phone can act as a GPS speedometer in the browser. With zigmaty, you can see live speed, distance, average speed, maximum speed, alerts, charts, and local trip history.
Open the speedometer
Open zigmaty in a modern mobile browser. Choose the trip mode and speed unit that match what you are doing.
Allow location only when starting
The browser asks for GPS permission after you press Start. zigmaty does not request location on page load.
Use the right unit
Switch between km/h, mph, m/s, and kn from the buttons below the speed reading. Boat mode defaults well with knots.
Save and share a summary
When you stop a trip, zigmaty keeps a local summary on the device and lets you share max speed, average speed, distance, pace, and time.

Common questions
Short answers for this guide.
Do I need to install zigmaty?
No. It works in the browser. On supported phones you can also add it to the home screen.
Does it work on desktop?
It can work if the device or browser can provide location, but phones usually have better GPS hardware.
Can I use it offline?
The app shell can be cached, but fresh GPS permission and browser behavior still depend on the device and browser.
